Milkyway in Germany

Milkyway over a house in Peiting (Bavaria, Germany)

It’s always fascinating, especially in the summer, when you are at a dark place, and you look up and see the milky way!

While on a business trip to the Meteorological Institute of Germany in Hohenpeissenberg, I couldn’t resist taking a shot at the Milkyway.
The skies are quite dark here. Giving a good view of the Milkyway during clear nights.

The photo is the result of 33x10s shots for the milky way (using nothing more than a static tripod) and a single 10s exposure for the foreground (house, landscape etc)
Taken with the Canon 7D Mark II, Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM
Shot at 18mm, f3.5 and ISO1600
